INSOMNIA / SLEEP DISORDERS
Adrenal Insufficiency –
- May be due to hypoadrenia in which the adrenals are dependent upon stimulation provided by wakefulness.
- Characterized by –
o Low energy in morning which gradually rises being highest late at night
o Retires but cannot sleep
o After getting asleep, sleeps soundly, but arises exhausted.
Recommendations –
1. Drenamin
2. Organic Minerals
3. Licorice
Liver Insufficiency –
- May be due to hypoadrenia in which the adrenals are dependent upon stimulation provided by wakefulness.
- Characterized by –
o Energy which diminishes in early evening hours
o Retires and goes immediately to sleep, but awakens in a few hours and cannot return to sleep.
Recommendations;
1. Orchex
2. AC Carbamide before retiring
3. AF Betafood with each meal
4. Fruit or fruit juices before retiring and upon awakening.
Vasomotor Instability –
- May be due to vasomotor disturbances in which blood supply to brain is excessive.
- Characterized by –
o Nervous energy type
o Headaches
o Worries
o Restlessness predominates
o Complaint of “head throbbing” and being unable to “stop thinking”
Recommendations;
1. Antronex with deep breathing exercises often effective (Alkalosis however, is greatly aggravated by such deep breathing)
2. Orchex
3. Valerian Complex (mild sedative effect, Alleviates Anxiety, Relaxes smooth muscle
